Joyce's Party Page

Many of you would have met or spoken to Joyce MacDonald Smith on the telephone.

For the past 17 years, Joyce was the Personal Assistant to the Presidents and Chairman of UPITN and later WTN. Her loyalty and discretion were a legend, as was her disdain for anti-smoking wowsers.

On February 18th Joyce resigned from APTN. On the 23rd Joyce's many friends held a party for her at EFE's Turkish Restaurant in Great Titchfield Street. The pictures on the next page were taken that night. The party was a great success, with friends coming from far and wide just to be there.

In fact, it was so much fun that I plan to set up another party in London, as a kind of reunion, over one weekend in the late Spring. I will send each of you the details soon.
